Seeing the beauty within, this gorgeous table frame was literally saved from the trash.
The frame had seen better days, in need of some love the existing stain and varnish had worn and it was missing a top.
I sanded it smooth and gave it two coats of Annie Sloan pure white paint, using 400 grit sandpaper between each coat to keep it smooth and sealing it with a generous amount of Annie Sloan clear wax. It was given a new top using thin plywood cut to size to fit into the frames recess.
I moistened the base using water from a spray bottle. I used Unicorn Spit, Midnight blackness, blue thunder, lemon kiss, purple hill majesty, phoenix fire, white ning, pixie punk pink, zia teal and small drops of molly red pepper. I created circles until I was happy with the coverage. When satisfied I moistened the top again using water from a spray bottle before putting a piece of plastic over the unicorn spit. Using the palm of my hand I started from the centre of the base and moved my palm from the centre to the end to blend the unicorn spit moving around the table repeating that until I could see the unicorn spit had blended the way I wanted it too.
I lifted the plastic off and used white ning to flick the stars onto the galaxy. I absolutely loved it.
I used 2 kits of Feast Watson Glass Finish to fill the recess and protect the Unicorn Spit. table complete.

I think the contrast with the light color paint is what MADE the piece. The dark wood wouldn't give it the wow factor. Excellent job! I have done a lot of pictures with dirty pouring but I may try it on some furniture now.

    Thanks for the inspirations.

This came out to be a one of a kind table and very pretty. I feel that if you own something that is wood and you want to paint it——-paint it, feel free it is yours. Good for you for making something nice out of something others may throw out. Thanks for sharing. Your vision was great.
