I'm not sure how big you want this, but you could use fiberboard as a base. It comes in 4x8 sheets. The cork can be glued to the fiberboard. You could actually use specialty paints to get the rest of it: You can buy dry erase paint, chalkboard paint, and magnetic paint. Be advised the magnetic paint IS NOT water cleanup. I always buy disposable brushes when I work with it. It is black, but you can paint over it with any color. I use it as a base under chalkboard paint to give me a magnetic chalkboard! you could use 1x2s to frame it out, and to divide it how you would like. Use Loctite to glue the 1x2s on, then some short screws from the back of the fiberboard through the 1x2s to hold them until the glue dries. Hang the assembly on the wall by attaching D rings to the back, then mounting to stud, or using sheetrock anchors. Good luck!

Are you using a system that offers tiles in the above mentioned surfaces or you wanting to start from scratch? Sharing pictures always helps to get better answers too Toots.

I found that walmart carries all of the tiles that I was needing and all have hooks on the back and cost around 7 - 10 apiece, that you for helping me solve this project
