Easy Halloween DIY Glitter Boo Lights

Who said you can't add sparkle and glitter to your spooky Halloween decor? I love spooky and creepy just as much as the next GHOUL, but this year I wanted to add a little whimsy to the mix. These fun BOO lights added just the right touch to the top of our Dining Room Buffet. Since we don't have a fireplace mantel in our home, the buffet is where the main decorating usually gets done.
Just look at all that sparkle! It was easier to make than you might think, let me show you how we did it.
We started with 3 plain glass fish bowls from our local dollar store. You can find them in this basic shape and a few other designs as well. Whatever you like you can use.
All of our supplies we had in our craft stash for this project, we just made it work with what we had. I cut the BOO letters out using my Cricut Explore but you can buy vinyl letters at any craft or hobby store.
Coat the inside of the glass bowl with a good amount of mod podge using a foam paintbrush. Pour in a generous amount of orange glitter and turn the bowl until the inside is completely covered with glitter, add more as needed.*Tip - Do this step over a container or newspaper for less cleanup.
Once the mod podge is dry, apply the letters, ribbon and a base I used wooden napkin rings painted black because that is what I had. I secured the napkin rings using E6000 glue, the ribbon using hot glue. The vinyl letters are already sticky, no need to use anything else.
The longest part of this project operated string lights to the inside of each bowl. It looks great with the lights off and with the lights on at night. And it is super easy to put together.
