This simple modern popsicle stick shelf can be great way to add some dimension and pops of color to your wall. This is a great project for beginning DIY'ers looking to add some fun to their dwelling. Because it uses wood glue instead of hot glue, this is a great project for kids. It teaches them to how to build and create something fun and versatile. There are many different colors you can create your shelf. If you wanted something other than the rainbow or raw wood color, you would just need to add paint or stain to your supply list.
With these two simple products, craft sticks and wood glue, you can turn them into a great modern shelf that would brighten up any space. We have found these great for dorm rooms as they are inexpensive and versatile.
Simply add a drop of glue to the corners of your craft sticks layering one over the other into a hexagon shape. We love rainbows and color, and so we went with the rainbow colored craft sticks.
Let the glue dry. You can place a large book on top of the sticks for pressure.
Once they dry, you have yourself a beautiful modern hexagon shelf.
You can add it to your wall using command strips or nails.
