Thrifted Table Treasure

I found this table at the thrift store and I couldn't pass it up. Of course, it was way too small to be a side table, but a bit too large to be a stool. What could I do with this little charmer? Well, I thought outside the box and brought it into my cottage style kitchen to dress up my party table.
The table was only three dollars, but it was a little beat up and definitely not a color that was going to work with my current decor. A little spray paint fixed that.
It was an easy makeover. I simply wiped the table down and handed it over to my handy husband who gave it two coats of red. No sanding necessary. Once the table was completely dry, I brought it inside and made use of it in the dining area of my kitchen.
I placed it on top of my round table at party time. Not only is the tiny addition a great way to add a bit of color, interest and elegance...
...it also added some height, which created more room on my small table. I was able to fit more food on top of it, more plates and even my pretty stenciled placemats underneath it.

Super simple, super inexpensive, super charming...and all for about $3. Fabulous.
