You can purchase an ozone machine. It works every time. Just run it for a week, and everything will be odor free. It kills the mold and mildew.

I save those little crystal freshener packets that come in shoe boxes or pill bottles. I put them in my luggage to keep it smelling nice, should work in a plastic tote.
