While I was at the Dollar Tree, they had some new candies 🍭 that would work well for candy Scarecrows. I also discovered raffia ribbon. It is so much easier to work with than regular raffia. So, below I show candy scarecrows with a few twists from the original version.

Here are the candies that I used. That caramel candy apple taffy was such a hit, it was eaten before I had a chance to make my new candy people. When I went back to get more, DOTS were in stock and Sixlets! FYI, box candy and miniature candy bars work well for bodies. My other tutorial used miniature candy bars.
First, I set them up how I think they will look good and then I fire up the low temp glue gun.
Some had chocolate eyeballs ...
Some had googley eyes. 👀
Smarties for arms and Sixlets for legs. I really like the Sixlets. This is the first time that I have used them. Feel free to come up with new ideas and post pictures in the comments. I would love to see them.
Sometimes, I used different candies for arms and legs. Tootsie roll arms, Smarties for legs and chocolate eyeballs.
Here I added raffia ribbon to try for a scarecrow effect. What do you think? I am thinking of making a hat for him... Scarecrows need hats. icon
A little hat adds the perfect touch.icon
This video shows how I organized my set up to make these candy creations.
