  • I just sweep them into a dustpan and take outside. Peppermint oil works well. Or hire a monthly service.

I spray my "Webster" (or a broom with a cloth on it) with an organic insecticide (or Home Defense, and use it on the ceilings and in corners. My home has high ceilings, and spiders seem to like corners.....

Try using peppermint oil. They don't like the smell. Put it on cotton balls and place them around. You can also use vinegar water. I spray it in the basement on the baseboards and any cracks or crevices. Before doing any of them I would vacuum and clean the corners real good.

Sonic insect devices work well and don't use much electricity. There are plant-based sprays (oil from marigolds and rosemary, etc.) that also work but can be hard to find.

We had a service come and spray inside & out. They said they are "spider mites", as tiny as a flea/tick! No wonder we never saw them. They said they hang out up around the ceiling in the 90 degree corners, then come down at night and bite. The guy said they blow in from outside when the doors and windows are open. After he sprayed we thoroughly vacuumed each and every room! Success at last thank God!
