It's made of wood. Just want to bring it back to life with a fresh coat of paint.

Have fun with it! You could paint a garden mural on it, check out Pintrest on that topic" painted sheds" . depending on where your shed is and its surrounding may determine if you go conservative or colorful .

If you mean Paint and not Stain you would need to Prime, Undercoat, and then Topcoat.

It would depend upon if it were wood or metal. Go to a paint department and ask for the correct type paint. Make sure the shed siding is cleaned well, and primed if needed.

If the current paint is flaking scrape the loose stuff off.. with the grooves in the siding you will both brush and roller. If you are keeping the same color just fresh in up..you shouldn't need a primer. If you are changing color..prime first. If dirt grung on shed power wash..let dry then paint. Work in 2 to 3 foot sections, top to bottom. Try to complete one side at a time....even if it takes you 4 days. Paint trim last.

If you like the colour it was, then just a fresh coat of Top coat would be fine, If you wanted to change the colour, then undercoat and then Topcoat.
