I saw these two side tables for sale on line and thought they were a perfect project to give new life too.
I sighted this side table and another for sale on line. They were in need of a make over and I thought I would give them a splash of colour.
I measured the front of the draw face in order to search for a draw knob that I thought would compliment the vibrant blue colour I had in mind for the side tables.
I found this draw knob on Esty and thought it was the perfect fit.
I pulled the two tables apart, cleaned and sanded them with 240 grit sandpaper.
I used Rust-oleum Deep Blue Gloss paint and primer spray paint to get a vibrant and even texture on the tables, once dry I put them back together again.
I went to work on the draw, spray painting the draw faces.
On the inside of the draws I first painted Annie Sloan napoleonic blue chalk paint and when that was dry pained Annie Sloan pure white on top and distressed the inside of the draws using 240 grit sandpaper. I sealed the inside of the draws with Annie Sloan clear wax. To avoid contaminating the inside of the draws with the spray paint, I sealed the inside using painters tape and paper.
I put it all together.
