I found this click in deck patio on overstock site. I got them on sale and started my project. I loved it so much that I added rugs and all I need is new patio chairs. I also added a new section for my doggie and will add new doghouse later.icon icon
I measured for how much deck I would need. I ordered the deck products at overstock site. I got sand, river stones, paver mats, stone pavers, rugs and plants at HomeDepot. I looked at sample designs that would work for my space and put it together. Total time 5.5 hours, but I did doggie area another day which took 3.5 hours. That sand is tricky. 😁
I literally had knee pads and a small cooler chair combination with water and started. I did kill the grass 1st for the end of deck area since I wanted to extend it. Where the deck ends, I began the plant border. I dug 3 holes, got a bag of red mulch, river stones and potting soil to put plants in ground. I put stones last after I finished up and watered the plants.
This is the end of the deck and plant border between deck area and doggie area. Those stone pavers were heavy and I used the extra bricks they give you when you purchase your home.
Suggested materials:
  • Deck material, carpet, stone pavers, paver mats, sand, plants and river stones.   (Overstock and HomeDepot)
  • Red mulch and roundup grass killer.   (HomeDepot)
