Feed, feed and feed more. Look for a fertilizer that is for vegetables. This should do the trick. Also plenty of water.

If you don't have a lot of bees, you may need to pollinate the flowers yourself. The real tall ones are the males and the shorter ones are female, the female is the one the males pollen needs to be put on. Good luck!
