Depending on your elevation, check with a local landscaper/nursery/home store for planting. Also make sure the plants will grow at your elevation, some plants/trees bought at a lower elevation will not grow at higher elevations or vice versa. I am in Montana too and already have had 7 1/2 inches of snow, so that cut short any planting for this year.
