    this would depend on whether you have fixed the leak on the water heater. The damage would be a job for a handy man but you would need a plumber to look at the leak.

    Is the water heater elevated off the floor? is it set In a retaining pan? Do you flush your water heater every year? ( rust and anodization collects on the lower coil and reduces the amount of water that is heated. flushing is needed if you have hard water) Was cement floor sealed prior to the heater being installed?
