Want to coat large glass jug with sand. Need help.

Take an old baking pan longer than your jug is tall. Fill with sand. Mod podge the jug where you want the sand to be. Then gently roll the jug in the sand. Stand upright and let dry. Then use a spray sealer so the sand does not flake off.
Glue......or Waterproof Silicone Clear Bath Sealer.
Use either modge podge and paint or spray on The Jug, roll in the sand, and shake off excess. You can do this more than once to achieve the effect you're looking for.
