Clover pulls up very easily. Make sure when you pull it to leave it on the soil. It is very nourishing for the soil. Some farmers use it on the fields when they don't use a field for a season and then till it into the soil to build it back up.

I would pull it up, and then sprinkle Preen weed preventer in the flower bed to prevent clover and other weeds from invading it. Preen will not affect existing flowers, but will prevent weed seeds from germenating.

For over 30 years, I faithfully mowed my lawn, weeded and edged my gardens, and trimmed my hedges. Two years ago, I had to downsize to a small house with no grass and no flower beds. I have come to love my moss which needs no mowing and my clover and other beautiful little wildflowers (weeds?) like violets. I had a house sign made: Clover Hill Cottage!
