There is one thing you can do add glass shelves, but you would need to be able to drill through the sides place rubber gromments into the drill holes and use gold rods as support for the glass shelves. use woven grass baskets for the files. Other wise I have no idea.

Not sure what you want to do as far as the clock face, do you want to leave it? Standard files need 12" of width, can it accommodate this? With it being glass on 3 sides, I would think you would not want the contents to be seen so I would replace the sides with wood. The door would be trickier but you could have someone cut the glass to just the the clock face and then insert wood panels from there down. Shelves would have to be installed to accommodate files.

You can have the glass replaced with mirror or specialty cabinet glass to eliminate the “see through ” For the shelves —the suggestion to drill holes and use cupdoard tabs is a good idea.

We just did something similar but made a jewelry armoir. We only had glass on the front that is now mirror. The clock face is a decorative piece on a wall unit. We were able to use small nails to nail the frame work for the shelves.
