Hydrangeas are acid loving. Use something like Miracid
Simwalestate is correct if you care to change the color from blue to pink but unless a company has integrated that with a fertilizer, I believe we're talking about 2 different issues.
It;s a good idea to use a granular, slow-release fertilizer with a high percentage of phosphorus. But like Janet said, it's best to apply in spring/early summer.
