The best way to paint them, I have found is by spraying them. Remove the doors and the door hardware. Spray the boxes and then the doors. I have worked with a painter who uses floor paint, for a number of reasons. First, it dries quickly, two, it is less liable to chip.

Spraying gives you an even coat and is quicker to apply than painting with a brush.

I really should have started this by advising you to clean and sand the doors. TSP is a product that will remove grease and oil from the surfaces.

Make sure they are clean and dry. Use acrylic latex paint. Remove the doors and hardware. Mark the doors and cabinets with tape where they go. Lightly sand the doors and cabinets to remove any gloss and roughen the surface for paint. Prime with a stain blocking primer like Zinsser 123, KILZ,or BIN. Then paint with your color. Seal with at least three coats with a water based polyurethane. Use a small foam roller and foam brush for a smooth finish.
