Can I put felt on the bottom of a hollow core door?

I suppose you could glue a strip on, as long as the bottom door board hasn't been removed.

You can, but if the door is rubbung on the floor, the felt probably won't last. The correct way is to take off the door and sand or shave off the portion that is too long and rubbing on the floor.
