Best way to get rid of ants?

With. the heavy rains/storms here.. I am beyond being over run with ants, ant mounds, ant hills etc. I would prefer something non toxic to people and pets

    First, try to find their nest outside and sprinkle liberally with Borax. If you need to use something toxic, cover the nest entrance with the poison under it with a plastic tote or similar, or plastic tarp with plenty or rocks to hold it down.

  • Vinegar on the ant hills. I tried cinnamon and cornmeal, didn't work for me. Walked over or around the cinnamon and walked over the cornmeal and attracted twice the amount of ants I had to begin with. Found the nests and DROWNED in vinegar - gone!

    Victor's Ant spray, non-toxic, mint.... kills em dead on contact and remaining scent repels them

  • packaged cornbread mix that says it is sweetened and put it where they are. They will take it to the mound, everyone will eat it and die, they can't digest the cornmeal, but will take it because it is sweetened. Little goes a long way.
