Regular fertilizing will help in keeping the lawn healthy. step 1 crabgrass reemergent,2 weed and feed 3,summer guard,4 turf builder,5 winterizer6-8 weeks in between applications. If that is not what you prefer to do use A Crab grass killer from Ortho and A Weed b Gone for clover
A good weed and feed in the spring will help. Check out the brands that have scheduled applications to see if the fall one has weed killer in it. Unless the clover is really taking over the lawn, it helps to nourish your soil, which nourishes the grass when you cut your lawn.
