For broadleaf weeds (Iike dandelions), use a homemade spray of 1Gal Vinegar, 2Cup Epsom Salts, and 1/4Cup Dawn liquid dish soap (the blue). After the dew is off the lawn, saturate the weeds with a spray bottle filled with the killer. Let the sun do the killing. If you have a really hearty weed, stick a screwdriver or other tool down the root and pour the killer into the root hole. (Use care not to spray your grass, as it will also die.)
