The easiest would be to spray paint it with Rustoleums 2x for metal

You can paint it or stencil, use peel and stick wood looking vinyl to cover it using a paper cutter to cut the tiles to length, or you can wallpaper it using rubber cement instead of wallpaper paste. Or you can get fun old time travel stickers that used to be on luggage and posters and go to town. Look for antique stickers and poster on Amazon.

What's easy is to tape off parts you don't want painted like the handles, labels and then spray paint it. I find it's easier to do the drawers separate from the body of the cabinet to get the coverage I want.

If the cabinet has some rusty parts, hit those with a sandpaper and then paint. I like Rustoleum spray paint, but if you've only got a can of some leftover paint, hit it with that. Paint covers a great many sins.
