Our family spends each Thanksgiving weekend at our cottage in Northern British Columbia Canada. Going on a nature hike is one of our traditions. The colors of fall are so majestic and abundant, I enjoy picking from the harvest and bringing it indoors to enjoy.
I don't have a fancy vase, but I do have an empty glass which will do just fine. Use whatever you have on hand to add to the rustic decor.
On my nature hike, I found a variety of oranges, reds and yellows. Throw in a couple sticks and some pine needles to give it a bit of variety.
I started with the biggest leaves first.
Add in the most colorful next. This adds more texture and gives the final product some definition.
Next I added some twigs to give it some height.
finally I added some pine needles to give my Thanksgiving bouquet a final touch.
Here is my final project! I hope you enjoy making your own for your family and friends this holiday season!!
Suggested materials:
  • Glass cup   (Had on hand)
  • Twigs, pine needles and fall colored leaves   (Nature hike)

I like the sound and look of that! Is this the best time of year or what?
