When I do my clients, I first use a single edge razor blade on it to get any crusty bits off, then I put a hot wet towel/rag on top, let sit a few minutes, wipe real good and use a green abrasive pad lightly if need to remove more black burned items off it. Then follow up with stove top cleaner, work in real good, let dry, wipe off haze and polish with cloth.

Sharon has the right idea, but please don't use anything abrasive on your stovetop. Magic eraser or Bonami cleanser will get the black bits off.

I use the heated vinegar (not boiled) and equal amount of dishwashing detergent. If something is stuck on it I scrape with a razor blade.

I have had 3 of these stove tops (1 white and 2 black ones) and the following process left them all looking new. First, wash with a soapy warm dish cloth to get the grease off, then use a razor blade or the razor device that has a protective holder with it to get all of the black bits off. Then use the soapy dish cloth again, rinse, then use the stove top cleaner/wax following directions and you will have a very clean, shiny stove top. That has worked for 40 years in 3 different houses. 👌

Ceramic Hob Cleaner or Bar Keepers Friend.

In Canada we can get a product called Vim. It is typically used for cleaning countertops and sinks. It works great on the glass top stoves too and leaves a great shine. Been cleaning mine this way for 8 years. Very quick and easy.
