Can you paint over wallpaper that has been painted over already?

    It not a recommended practice,down the road the paper will bubble and peel

    sure - as long as the surface is not cracked or peeling -- if it's damaged, you'll need to remove the wallpaper and start from scratch -

    If you paint, the wall paper layers can't hold the weight of the paint. It's not that hard to take it down. Get a paint tray, pour very hot water into the deep end, an with a roller with a long handle ,soak it up with the water, now drag it off the tray to the wall, roll up and down and repeat. Take a large putty knife and scrape the paper off the wall. Let is soak in for a minute or two. Start from the bottom up so the paper isn't falling on your head. Scrub the walls with warm water to get the paste off, dry with clean rag. Your ready to paint,. don't forget paint tape and drop cloths. Good Luck!
