What is the best soil combination for planting wild huckleberries?

I'm planning on planting wild huckelberry seedlings this week and have read a ton of information on different soil combinations. I know they prefer acidic soil, but I'm not a gardener and am requesting some help to get these started before winter.....

Check with a garden center with a good reputation. They will be able to tell you what to amend the soil with, and how often you will need to amend it to keep it acidic. You can get the soil tested at your local extension office to see what you already have and they may be able to help you with what you need to do when.
