I wanted to repair an old mirror. Perhaps someone knows how to do this some other way. I am stumped...

A possible solution is to buy an inexpensive mirror and put it behind the original mirror that way the mirror will continue to be reflective. Some have gone so far as to remove all the old silvering and having the replacement mirror take the place of the old silvering, but you will still have the vintage glass to look through. HTH
