Putting in pocket doors

We bought a winter home in Florida, and because of my son is in a wheel chair we have to put in pocket doors in two places.

    There are lots of videos on how to install, I would say look for a pocket door frame that is 39" wide as that is the ADA recommendation for wheelchair accessible door frames. I see Johnson at Home Depot has a 48" doorway, maybe you can ask do they have a 40" These don't come with the door. I would check Habitat for Humanity for a wider door as they usually have lots of them. You could possibly get away with a 36" if his chair is very narrow.
