To conserve water, we want to eliminate our backyard lawn.

What is a way to replace the lawn and still be able to enjoy the back yard.
We have grandchildren who like to run and play. We want the lawn replacement to
be attractive and long lasting.

Go NATURAL! I went natural with my yard several years ago and I love it. Mulch, Mulch, everywhere MULCH! No mowing, the weeds are kept down and it breaks down into something a lot cleaner than dirt. Also, your plants will LOVE the environment. You can get free mulch from your county or tree services. Please watch to get a better understanding.

Artificial grass like on sports arenas? Rocks and gravel would be hard on little feet and knees.

They are finding this toxic due to the carcinogenic chemicals like benzene for one in it.
