There's always vinyl siding. Ship lap?
I once cedar shingled a whole house in Whistler BC cutting the shingles from cedar tree rounds myself..... they get a lot of rain there and snow. Shakes would not work for areas with high temperatures or where this is fire danger.
Hi Sharrie, Vinyl siding comes in a lot of new styles these days. You will never have to paint again! There's also Air stone or you could combine the two!
