get the fans moving air about. check all cabinet contents for water damage. trash any wet boxed good...cerels corn meal etc. they are not recoverable. if canned goods got flooded get a sharpie ready...pull the labels of and relable with the sharpie. was this a water pipe break or flooding from roof leak/ or did the river invade? clean water is easier to deal with rent a wet vac to get the water out of the carpets. you may have to pull them up to get the pad under dry. if you have lino water can get under it. hard woods? if not totally sealed they can warp. no recovery except to replace.

when i was 18 there was a fire in our kitchen- the fire was put out very quickly- we can see the back door of the fire station from our front door. my dad woke up when he smelled wood burning. i'm not sure to this date which did more damage to the structure the fire or the water...every one but dad was out of the house that day...and he left in a hurry...it was later determined that lightning hit the house, shorted out the elecrtical system.

Turn knob under the sink to shut the water off. If that doesn't work, you will have to find the main shut-off and turn that off. Call a plumber!
