You can get out of a whirlpool tub before it is empty, not so with walk in tub.
You have to wait for a walk in to fill up!! end of story unless you cannot get your leg over the lip of the Whirl Pool!

Seems like you wouldn't need a walk-in tub if you could swing you leg up level with your waist???
Not only do you have to get in and wait until it fills, you also have to sit there while the water empties before you can open the door.
