Spooky Fun Hallowen Bottles

We used some dollar store items to create some spooky fun Halloween decorated jars. They are so easy and fun to make and will be great for display for our Halloween party this year.

The large red bottle was found at the dollar store, and the square bottle was one we had. We also picked up a package of plastic bugs and skeletons while we were at the dollar store.

For the small square bottle, we used hot melt glue and attached the skeleton head and cross bone arms before spray painting the bottle with white spray paint. Because we didn't have a lid for this bottle, we used a ping pong ball and colored it black with a sharpie marker. After the bottle was dry. We used the hot melt glue to attach a few spiders. Alphabet stamps were used to stamp a label. To finish it off, we used two drops of mushroom alcohol ink on a cotton swab to distress the bottle.

The red bottle was also spray painted white and we stamped our label again using the alphabet stamps. Bugs were attached with the hot melt glue. To distress this bottle, we used a little more alcohol ink in "oregano" on a cotton swab and made the drips that covered most of the jar. It only took a few minutes and these jars turned out fantastic!

I was surprised that with just a few supplies and very little time and we were done! Put them on a shelf or use them as part of your Halloween decor this year.

My son wants to make some more of these before the party. Looks like I'll be saving a few more jars and bottles for him! The kids will have a blast creating their own decorated jars and bottles!
