Trash Bar Cart Made Classy In One Easy Step

I love finding something in the trash that I know will be an EASY makeover and yet have major decorating possibilities. I found this cast off while cleaning out an estate as part of conducting a sale in my business.
Family members tossed this rolling cart into the dumpster before I was getting ready to conduct an estate sale at a local home. I knew that it would be an easy project for something that I was looking for and didn't want to purchase new!
Paint is the easiest way to transform a project and I grabbed a can of gold paint and gloves and headed outside to spray this rolling cart. I needed a bar cart for the upcoming holidays and got to work simply wiping down the dirt and spraying.

Wicker doesn't always take well to spray paint, so a tip that I've found is to either prime it first or to hold the can closer than you might normally when spraying. If spraying wicker, two coats are generally necessary.
I love the way that this newly refurbished bar cart looks now and have used it for serving on the patio and during the holidays to stash extra wrapped gifts that won't fit under the family tree! Please see more linked on my blog below and subscribe to receive my FREE seasonal decorating guide!

I've always wanted a bar cart but can never afford to buy one they are so expensive. Finding yours in a trash is so great. You made it look so exquisite so rich looking. Great job. well done.

Someone that was moving gave me a wicker cart I am using in the kitchen; your cart looks so classy I will spray paint mine gold as well. Thanks for the inspiration.
