I reuse large tall cans that beans come in (like for chili) . The newer coffee cans are not good as they are paper really. Cover the cans with foil, or spray paint them. I also save Mylar balloons that are finished, cut them, turn the wrong side out, with the silver showing and use these to cover the cans. I then reuse thin metal hangers that come from the dry cleaners, and cut them to use for stakes. Bend the top into the can, then into the soil. You may want to put a few rocks into the bottom of the can to weigh it down. Then floral foam on top of the rocks. Have been doing this for years.

How about a bird house. Use a new one or even an old one to re purpose it. You could cut the roof to make an opening. Slip in a piece of flower foam and stick in your flowers. I would also drill a few small drainage holes in the bottom to keep rain for pooling up to much in the bottom.
Thank you...I am glad I could help.
