I have used Zout spot remover (Walmart) and it will work if it is not set in by washing and drying. I spray with Zout let set about 30 minutes and then put laundry detergent on it and rub and wash as usual.

I use Murphy's Oil Soap on washable fabrics. Just put a small glug on the grease, let sit for an hour or more, wash as usual. Air dry, becausen you may be unable to see the results well, until dry. if it does't work the first time, i let it sit over night & try again.

I first rub the grease stain with a little plain white chalk to absorb as much as possible....then cover it with Dawn detergent, rub it in with my fingers, let it sit for a few minutes, then wash as usual.

If it's not a delicate fabric, use Lestoil with hot water. Run hot water into a bucket, and at the same time pour about 1/2 cup of Lestoil straight. Let the fabric sit for a few hrs. Next rinse, the fabric to get the Lestoil out. as best you can. Put the fabric in the washer just like that with hot water. When the cycle is done, now wash with liquid laundry detergent, and hang dry. If the smell remains, do it again, wash it. Lestoil is made for grease, so it should come out. My cat peed on my husband's shirts, that were stacked for the laundry, but too close to her potty box. I got the smell out. Good Luck!
