Repairing holes in siding on my house
The people that have cut grass next to my condo, unfortunately have left some holes in my white siding. I am 71 and a widow and handicap. This was there when I bought the condo two years ago. I tried putting strong white tape on it but the sun seems to make it curl up and looks bad. Would appreciate what someone knows that I may be able to do myself for I am on a fixed income. Thank you so much.

- Rembatbon Oct 3, 2017Have you tried spackling? Don't forget the putty knife. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Red-Devil-8-oz-Pre-Mixed-Vinyl-Spackling-0532HD/202261762?cm_mmc=Shopping%7cTHD%7cG%7c0%7cG-BASE-PLA-AllProducts%7c&gclid=Cj0KCQjwx8fOBRD7ARIsAPVq-Nkfj9cwUaXj7F1liK79BqtVN_XpQ3JKFv5c2dBGbLAEvTkI9kWuelYaAicuEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds&dclid=CIvI5sKh09YCFcMMPwod-YAPrAHelpfulReply
- Ellison Oct 3, 2017I would consult the condo management. They contract with the landscape maintenance people, so they should see that this problem is solved, and does not continue in the future.HelpfulReply

Roxanegon Oct 3, 2017Try using vinyl siding caulk. The gun and the tube will cost less than $10 and it's a matter of cutting off the end and then filling the holes with the caulk and using your finger (or the fingers of the grass cutters) to smooth the caulk. Use latex gloves for the caulk and there's little cleanup.HelpfulReply

- Deanna Millson Oct 3, 2017dang it, I don't know of much you can do about it, except make friends with those neighbors and ask them , sweetly, to be more careful when mowing their grass from now on.HelpfulReply

Nancy Turneron Oct 3, 2017I don't know if gorilla tape comes in colors yet, but that does not get affected by heat like regular duct tape does. I had a piece of an ice fall off the house roof and go through my black convertible top. I tried patching it with duct tape and it would only last a week or two, When I found gorilla tape, it stayed on for three years until I got rid of the car. Maybe it could be painted with Rustoleum or something so it is white.HelpfulReply
- Margaret0579on Oct 3, 2017I have not found white Gorilla tape but I do have the black and I will try to paint it white and see how that works. I do know that the Gorilla Black Tape is really good. Thank you.HelpfulReply
