yes, you can/ Woolite detergent was meant for cold water, and I am sure there are others out there. Oily stains might pose a problem with only cold water,
Cold water is preferable for most laundry. But if you have whites or highly soiled items, not water should be u sed.
You do not say if its your dishwasher or clothes washer. I always use cold water to wash clothes. It keep colors brighter longer. It is not necessary to use hot, even for stains, because hot sets stains in place. Use oxi clean with your detergent. If its your dishwasher, you should wash by hand and heat water on your range to kill the germs involved with dirty dishes. Get a good pair of gloves at the Dollar Store and go for it. Otherwise, fix the hot water heater.
I do 98% of our laundry in cold water. It has worked out fine and is gentler on colored clothes than hot water. If something quite dirty, I simply use a heavy duty cycle. It saves a lot on the electric bill for heating hot water!
of course you can ! I ONLY use cold water with proper cold water detergents. All comes out just fine.
Virtually all laundry detergents are formulated to work in cold water.
Sure, why not? I hardly ever use a hot water wash. Why does the hot water no longer work?
absolutely...i never wash in hot water unless it might be towels...hot water will actually set stains in if you have them & it will shrink clothes & just is not good, at least for me & my son..he is very funny about his clothes & they are expensive...i also use the new detergent out, Persil...it is the best laundry detergent ever...a little pricey but you do not have to use a lot & since we have a new front loader machine, you put all products in the drawer that pulls out & you can actually use the Persil on a stain whether colored or not & it is amazing...but hot water will set a stain in, so i would check to see why you no longer have hot water for your washer...
