We recently purchased a home that has real brick floors in the foyer, hall and sunroom - not sure whether to damp mop with only water, use a special cleaner, etc.?
The hardwood floor care by Bona
I damp mop.
Bona products are excellent. I also love Murphy's Oil Soap.
Murphy's Oil Soap - made especially for wood. It leaves a nice soft shine, not oily.
all my floors are hardwood (well two are pine) in fact I am in the process now of cleaning one room's floor. I dust mop or vacuum and then use a floor cleaning product from the hardware store that is streamed on and then spread with a damp cloth. I too love Murphy's oil soap and also used that this morning. The older I get the more I realize that "deep" cleaning is not really necessary, but then I don't have pets or children in the house.
Dust mop often to remove grit and dirt. Use Bona wood floor products when you need to wet mop. They do a great job and do not leave a build up or streaks on the flooring.
