What glue to use with styrofoam?

I'm wanting to do a DIY Christmas craft involving peppermints and Styrofoam. What kind of glue will work? I would probably want to leave the round peppermint candies in their individual plastic wrappers.

Hello Nancy! Your best choice would be to use a hot glue gun using glue sticks. This Hometalk information uses a styrofoam wreath and peppermint candies. However, it is for a table centerpiece. The same method could be used for your peppermint wreath.

You are very welcome! I have used hot glue on a number of crafts and it works great. Just be careful — that gun nozzle gets super hot!
