I spray mine with a mild soapy water and wash the pots with soapy water, to get rid of bugs, webs, etc. Then bring them inside to either a sunny window or in the basement on tables under shop lights. They do wonderful and often bloom over winter. I have several that are several years old and get larger each year.
Yes, you can save them, as I did. I had the same plant for 4 years. I simply cut old wood and trim it down for the winter, but still watered. They come back a little haggard for a while but go crazy after they adjust again. Also after cutting I rerooted in water and had some more!

re-pot them in fresh soil,spray them down with horticultural oil,bring in and place in very bright location
You can't really. It's best to start with fresh geraniums each year.
