Dollar Tree Fabric Pumpkins

Every year, the Dollar Tree has styrofoam orange and green pumpkins for sale around this time of year. Last year, I purchased a few and spray painted them navy. This year, I wanted to re-use them but give them a fresh look with scrap fabric.
Supplies
- Styrofoam pumpkins
- Scrap fabric (I picked mine up at Hobby Lobby)
- Sewing/dress pins
- Brown craft paint
- Use the craft paint to paint the stems brown and let dry
- Cut the fabric into various widths of strips, making sure the length is enough to wrap the pumpkin
- Using your pins, place one end of the fabric at the top of the pumpkin, near the stem, and use a pin to secure the end of the fabric
- Wrap the fabric around the pumpkin and secure to the bottom of the pumpkin
- Repeat the process, using the various widths until the pumpkin is covered (I used the thicker widths first, and then the smaller ones)
I added mine to a dough bowl on the dining room buffet as part of my fall tablescape. I love the look of these so much more than the spray painted version.
The buffet fall decor included some milk glass pieces (my favorite) and some leaf garland.

What kind of spray paint did you use. I spray painted 10 at one time for a shower and it melted them. I bought the paint at Walmart. Did you use something special?
