Re-Age a Copper Sink

Help! My daughter broke down and paid someone else to do some cleaning for her. The person cleaned her copper sink, which used to have a beautiful patina, with peroxide. It shines like a new penny, but that's not how it is supposed to look. Does anyone know how to re-age the sink? Or must she wait for it to happen naturally? Thank you!

there are kits you can get to put the patina back in the basin. shopko, wally's amzon all carry them.
There is a home remedy that you can mix yourself to help speed up the patina process. It consists of 1/4 cup of ammonia and 1 teaspoon of salt. (Do not use any lemon products.) You can drop or dab it onto specific, affected areas, leave on for 30 minutes and then rinse off and repeat as needed. Patience is key. Copper naturally develops patina color when it's exposed to water and oxygen, and these solutions are only meant to jump-start the natural copper patina process.
When the new patina color blends with the neighboring area, apply a thin coat of Renaissance Wax to help protect and maintain this patina finish you just created—use sparingly and apply every 4-6 weeks.
Oh dear! They come already sealed.... She broke through the sealer. I would hire a local, very experienced decorative/faux painter to age it. Then it has to be sealed with the right product. Research is the way to find the right products. I'm so sorry!
