Can you wallpaper a textured wall?

I have textured wall throughout my house. Since we tend to visit the "throne room " aka the toilet is in it's own little room often just painted beige by contractors it boring. I would like to make it more interesting with maybe wallpaper or even mural.

you have to plaster or drywall it flat first or the paper will bubble. Depending on where you live (which determines usually what your texture is made of) you probably could sand it flat.
You will go through a lot of sandpaper if You go that route and it will be very dusty
Hi Charlotte, Have you considered maybe using wallboard/waynescot? They have some pretty nice designs now at Lowe's. It wouldn't cost much more than wallpaper, and take about half the time! https://www.lowes.com/search?searchTerm=wanescot+paneling

Start by maybe putting wall paper on one wall or a mural on one wall. EJL.

First you need to smooth things out, try renting an electric sander. Call Homedepot or Lowe's, and see how much it cost, and they can tell you what grade sandpaper you'll need. EJL.
