Get a wallpaper scorer. Use it on the paper. Then spray hot soapy water on it. Wait a few minutes and start pealing.

This job is a very labor intensive and exhausting endeavor..not only does the paper and backing need to be hand scraped off but the walls need to be prepped with a "mud" to even out the surface so the paint you apply looks smooth and professional....get some quotes from a pro for this ...you will have much better results all around..

The easiest way is to pay someone else to do it!

Otherwise, there are products at Home Depot/Lowes to strip the old stuff off. It can be time consuming.

Hello. I haven't found a easy way. What I did do is use a wall paper scorer to make little holes in the wall paper. Then I spray Diff on and start scraping it off with a wall paper scrapper. If you are lucky you may be able to pull it off in big pieces. I have also used a garment steamer on hard areas. Make sure you get all of the wallpaper and glue off. Otherwise when you paint it won't stick to those spots. Good Luck!

If it doesn't peel off, use a scoring tool to rough it up and then either steam it off or use a large sea sponge with hot water and rub it on until the paper gets soft and gooey. Then scrape it off.
