.there is a pet cleaner with enzymes. Pet Force. use it full strength to remove any stains, almost anywhere and of most kinds. pour it on the stain, let sit for a few minutes and then blot with a wet cloth. after, scrub with a hot wet cloth. DONE

Hi Cheryl. For the scuff marks try rubbing a tennis ball on them. What kind of stains are you trying to remove on your rug?

    • Cheryl Cheryl on Oct 04, 2017

Unfortunately I put a bike inside a spare bedroom and the tires made a scuff mark & won't come off. I'll have to try the tennis ball to see. Thank you.

For scuff marks use a Mr. Clean Sponge. For stains, use Spot Shot. If that doesn't work, try OxyClean or Awesome Orange.

Magic eraser or goo gone on scuffs, and what type of stain and what kind of rug?

    • Cheryl Swanson Cheryl Swanson on Oct 04, 2017

Oh boy the magic eraser doesn't work on it but I haven't tried goo gone. I have no idea what the stain is but I'm thinking it might have been laundry detergent ?? The rug I have no idea. It's not a shaggy time just regular wall to wall.

Unfortunately Clean erasers don't take them off but thank you.

Sometimes peroxide will work if light colored if carpet goes into closet and you need to experiment that would be the place to try also when you clean spot if you use light towel with additional weight put on will help to soak up.

Some where near the dish soap ther are scotch brite pads....usually green ther are a nylon, not a metal. Many of the essential oils make me sneeze. Eyes Water. Tea tree oil acts like a disinfectant. It also makes me sneeze. i haven't tried Mexican vanilla yet.

  • Cheryl Swanson Cheryl Swanson on Oct 04, 2017

    Okay thank you.

  • Dfm Dfm on Oct 04, 2017

tea tee oil. the scratchy's there a brand name for them ....buts its a brand name not to be mentioned. go to the cleaning isle find the sponges that are foam connected to an more stiff abrasive side. like a plastic steal wool.

  • Dfm Dfm on Oct 04, 2017

okay.. the generic for a scratchy is non scratch scour pad.

  • Dfm Dfm on Oct 04, 2017

tea tree oil.....it has anti microbial properties. go to the cleaning isle look for blue or green pads. not steel wool. when they are dry they almost feel like sand paper. you might have seen a few attached to a scouring sponge.

dear home talk... there is nothing on my screen to sign into to answer this question... yet an answer that i posted here 5 min. ago is gone. so one more time ...a scratchy in my house hold can be described as a non scratching scour pad. its just rough enough to remove stuck on to the pan goop, wont hurt the pan. or the floor. as far as the essential oils go- tea tree oil has anti microbial properties. personally, i'm allergic to citrus. lemons, limes oranges. all will blister my my mouth. mints and menthol's when in haled will close off my wind pipe. find a scent that you like .. and likes you and use it.

Try a little bit of baking soda on a damp paper towel or sponge on the scuff marks.
