Here is a quick and easy craft I put together over the weekend and thought I would share! Enjoy!
I grabbed a blank sign, transfer, and stain medium. As you can see the board is pretty blonde and I wanted a more weathered look for this. I gathered my Unicorn SPiT and got to crafting.
I misted the board with water and then just sporadically squirted the Unicorn SPiT - the color I am using here is Weathered Daydream. This is a soon to be re-released color from Eclectic Products. I used a non-bacterial wipe to blend the color over the board.
Here it is with just Weathered Daydream
I then grabbed the White Ning and followed the same process as the grey. I squirted just a little bit on the plaque and with a new antibacterial wipe I blended the colors into one another.
I then placed my transfer. If you have not seen these transfers yet you are in for a treat!
I wanted to have the YOU be in a different color and the easiest way I have found to do that is to cover a portion of it so that you don't accidentally mesh the colors together. I used Washi tape to cover the YOU. The Washi tape doesn't stick to the transfer so it's easily removed without jeopardizing your work or the transfer.
I grabbed my Chalk and first put down the white where I wanted it to go and then working quickly I grabbed my purple and put that down as well. You have to move quickly so that the Chalk doesn't dry to the transfer.
I pulled the transfer off and here we go! Perfect stencil, no bleed through, crisp lines and I was very happy with how it turned out.
Now the Chalk is not permanent, that's what makes it great for mirrors, chalkboards, etc. however I wanted this to be permanent so I gave it a quick spray of the Krylon Matte Finish and we are good to go! Permanent!
It needed a little something so I added a couple of my raw Sola Flowers. I attached them with E6000 glue. They too are now permanent! Thank you for taking the time to view my project! Happy Crafting!
