My old one broke, and the one available at Lowe's turns now rather than stay firm where you can use it to rake leaves and debris. thank you

I don't know what other stores are in your area, but have you tried Home Depot, Menards (we don't have that one here, but I see that a lot of people recommend them). You might even find one at Walmart or one of the smaller hardware stores. Ace, True Value, Valu Home Centers or possible even Amazon. Here's Amazon's leaf rake page:
